Refrigeration Equipments AMMONIA AIR COOLING UNITS (EFIN COIL)
Generally in fruits & vegetable (cold storage) industries, they are using old conventional cooling systems like - Diffuser and Bunker system; both the systems are inefficient and consume a lot of energy. Looking forward to power crises and costly power, we need to choose power efficient and latest technology.
Keeping in mind all the above points Ice Hill has developed Ice Hill Efin Coils. These coils are factory manufactured, power savers & effective cooling.
"ICE HILL" Air Cooling Unit design as per different applications :
1. Top Flow A.C.U.
2. Front Flow A.C.U.
4. Accumulator section : made thick M.S.plate and fitted separately.

Advantage of using Ammonia over HCFC-22
• Mass of ammonia for any given refrigeration plant is 1/7th that of HCFC-22
• Reduction in pipe size and liquid re-circulation system for ammonia on account of lower mass flow rate.
• Ammonia is more tolerant of water that any might inadvertently get into system. In most halocarbon matter remains separate from refrigerant and this could freeze immediately after the expansion valve.
• Ammonia has higher heat transfer co-efficient than HCFC-22 as most of the thermodynamic and transport properties that affects heat transfer are favorable to ammonia e.g. :
a. Specific heat of liquid and vapor 4 to 1
b. Liquid thermal conductivity 5.5 to 1
c. Latent heat of Vaporization 6 to 1
