FALLING FILM CHILLER
Falling Film Chillers have been in usage for more than 60 years. These chillers are ideal for industries like-
1. Dairy (milk and milk products)
2. Fish
3. Meat and poultry
4. Fruits and Vegetables
5. Production of baked goods
6. Mushroom growing plants and
7. Soft drink production.
Most food processing industries require the processed foods to be cooled down to 3-4C, and this can be achieved if they have chilled water at or near 0C.
At these temperatures the products are safe from any microbial activity and consequently can be stored for a longer time for further processing or storage, transportation or consumption. Presently in India, this is achieved either through accumulation of ice (i.e. Ice Bank), which is then used for making Iced water, or by using propylene glycol systems.
